This is a bit heavier than other guitars, but works well.It 'gets the job done' so to speak. Kids haven't compained. It's a good value for the money, alot cheaper than the knock-off guitars you can buy at the mall.
The strum bar is a bit stiffer too, but I didn't mind that so much. After about 5 minutes of playing, I packaged it back up and I'm sending it back. I, like many of you, purchased this guitar because the reviews looked decent and the price couldn't be beat. If the stiff buttons or the placement of the + and - buttons doesn't bother you, then it's probably worth the money. The buttons on the neck are so stiff, your hand will hurt after 1 song. Also, the + and - buttons are in a different place than on the original guitar, making it more difficult to hit blindly while playing.Other than that, it's a nice guitar and seems to be pretty well made. But if you're like me and you're interested in playing the hard and expert levels, you'll never get there with this guitar. You simply can't move quickly enough in complex passages.
I bought this guitar as a back-up for the GHWT and they love it. It's smaller and easier to handle. I recommend this for the little guys, ages 5-12 and the price was right.
Don't buy these they have a delay. Look up a better modle from Wii websight. You can't play any games with this doesn't work right you will not be happy.
The Frontman guitar is a wonderful cheap peripheral to use with Guitar Hero or Rockband. I received my Frontman guitar in a box that was so huge my shipping company charged me 116 dollars because of the dimensions. I got it at a steal for 9.99. My review however has, unfortunately, more to do with Amazon's ridiculous boxing than the item being boxed. When I opened the bloody big box I thought I ordered brown paper instead of the guitar, because that was all I was pulling out of the big box. Why oh why Amazon do your packers look for the biggest box for every item I buy from you.
